X-Shot Skins Pro Series Fury-X – FPS Numbers

We got out hands on a X-Shot Skins Pro Series Fury-X and have tested the blaster with the included darts and even with darts that don’t come in the box!
Below you will find the FPS results with 3 different dart types.

Each setup is tested with at least 20 shots over the chronograph to give you the best performance indication possible.
From each setup we report the highest, lowest and average, as well as the standard deviation.
The standard deviation is an important metric as it shows the consistency between shots, which is important for accuracy.

Please keep in mind this overview is meant as an indication. Dart quality, blaster seals, lubrication, climate and other factors have an effect on performance.

  1. The youtube channel Zeta has put a spring of the longshot in the fury-x and claims 170 fps. Can this be tested? I noticed they used a click-on extended barrel. Thanks!

It can certainly be done. Mine, (see comment below), came down-tuned for the 8+ age range. Bit of work and a LS spring and I’m getting similar results. May go for a length of k25 nest.

You lucky guys. I picked one of these up from Smyths toys in the UK and it was nerfed out of the box. A super-weak spring was giving around 60 fps. SO…..opened it up, took out the nasty rear mag release, e-taped the hole in the PT, T-taped the seal between the barrel and the turn-around and slapped an x-shot LS spring in there. Much better air seal and hitting in the 160s.

  3. The one I bought here had good performance, the other one from SmithToys (German Version) had under 60fps and also this super weak “spring”, that looks just ridiculous in comparison with the stock spring that the international version came with. I already upgraded my first fury-x with a longshot spring and a longer barrel, which makes it hit 200+ easily. Then when I got my second fury-x, I used the original spring from my first fury-x to upgrade the ultra-weak version to moderate cqb-performance.
